Challenge Tower looks cool. This should keep me pretty busy from the looks of it lol. BTW Karl, are you going to be able to pick up the game on launch date? If so. Hit me up & we'll play a few rounds.

Well, I have to retract a statement I had made on MSN. Johnny Cage is officially my favorite fighter in the game, moveset wise. lol.
Copied from Facebook post: "Played it for around 30 mins. I have to say, its pretty good. Its very much like the original MK games before they went full blown '3D' with Deadly Alliance & so on. With that said. It is a faster pace game. Not insanely or ridiculously fast. But to me, its a good pace.
Beautiful game to look at. Especially when it comes to the stage designs. Warner Bros. Games did an excellent job with the details. To me. As good as the characters themselves look. The environments stand out the most.
Gameplay wise. As I've mentioned. Its very much like previous, old-school MK games. So you pretty much know what to expect here. I can't remember if UMK 3 or MK:Trilogy had a combo system. But anyways, that's included in this game. Not a major list of combo's. But you have a good amount of 3-5 hitters you can pull off. The 'X-Ray' style attacks are nice touch. You build up your meter at the bottom, and tap R2+L2 simultaneously to pull those off.
Only thing I really have to complain about is the lack of online multi-player for the demo. It does seem slightly sluggish from a control standpoint. Where, once you pull off a move. You have to wait until the animation is complete before moving on to the next attack, etc."

Played the demo, lots of people say SubZero's mega slow but he seems alright to me. What I don't like is the Ice Puddle. Where's my 'slipping on ice puddle and flailing about, sliding into SubZero' animation from MK2? Also I'm sure Sub had an overhead ice move, which sent Ice upwards, and then down onto opponent. Can't seem to find that.

For those wondering, heres a breakdown of the stages from past games and whether or not we know they are in: MK1 Goro's Lair - confirmed Palace Gates - Theres similar scenery in the background of Shang's Garden in the distance Courtyard - confirmed The Pit - confirmed The Pit Bottom - confirmed Throne Room - confirmed Warrior Shrine - Shang's Garden? MK2 Kahn's Arena - confirmed Kombat Tomb Living Forest - confirmed The Armory - confirmed The Deadpool - confirmed The Pit II The Portal The Tower Wasteland - confirmed MK3-UMK3 Subway - confirmed The Street The Bank Rooftop - confirmed The Balcony The Bridge - confirmed The Soul Chamber - confirmed The Bell Tower - Clock Tower? The Temple - confirmed Graveyard - confirmed The Pit III Scorpion's Lair - confirmed The Cave - confirmed Jade's Desert - confirmed Lost Waterfront Noob's Dorfen (Joke stage?) Smoke's Portal (Joke stage?) Not including what I consider Joke stages, counting the Bell Tower as the Clock Tower and counting Warrior Shrine as Shang's Garden theres 32 stages from MK1-UMK3 and we've seen 21 of them in MK9. So theres 11 stages from the past we haven't seen/identified. Theres a 22nd stage that we don't know the identity of which is the one that appears during Kabal's fatality as well. Does 10 unlockable stages sound about right? . That'd pretty much cover all of them. In fact, the only missing stages that I care about are the MK2 ones, so as long as they have those, I'd be happy.

Kratos Gameplay
Having played the God Of War 3 demo the other day, his moves look pretty authentic (even down to the Quick Time Events LAWL!). I'm looking forward to playing as him soon.
