I remain skeptical of this game because it takes more than lots of blood and violence to entertain me now and Mortal Kombat doesn't have a good track record when it comes to a quality fighting engine.
I also hate Scorpion's new look. That looks more like something for Reptile than Scorpion. Sub Zero looks fine though. Definitely beats that samurai helmet look he had in previous games.

I actually agree with that. If Scorpion's MK9 look was green on the yellow parts I would love it to be Reptile's look.

FUCK'S SAKE! This Console/Place of Purchase Exclusive shit is ridiculous! It's worse than DLC which just unlocks things that are hidden on the game. I want ALL of those shop pre-order stuff, now I'll be forced to go with Amazon (Classic Reptile - which hopefully means Human - PWNS!)...
Ever since Joker from PS3 version of Batman:AA DIDN'T turn up on Xbox360 I've kept my eyes on exclusive stuff, because it's no longer a given that they are timed exclusives that will later show up on Live/PSN as DLC, like Yoda/Vader in Soul Calibur 4 did.

Dude..! I just wanna say that I apologize, I haven't been intentionally staying away from this thread, just kinda doing it in my subconscious because I know that NOTHING will take me back to my glory days of MK II as a coin op. Good times BUT I had to stop in and comment over this so called EXCLUSIVE crap. So, what's your alternative, buy the game three times?? I mean, what is their angle with this? ...and most importantly, how the hell can I get Bret Hart?

The only choice is to just go with the one you want most (in my case Amazon for human reptile straight away, and I'm quite tempted by Kratos and the need to flesh out my PS3 games collection to get the PS3 version). And then sit back and nervously hope to all fuck that the other pre-release/exclusive crap gets released later on as DLC. Before Batman:AA and The Joker I took it as a given that we would one day get Joker on Xbox, because even PS3 eventually got GTA4:Ballad of Gay Tony. I no longer have that safety-net.

The exclusive "order here and you get -insert name here-" is quite annoying. I've still pretty much written this game off due to the fact it doesn't seem as "deep" as the previous few titles. I prefer them over the earlier versions of MK personally.
Anywho, just wanted to say that Deception Sub-Zero reminds me of Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. XD

As previously announced, four of the classic male ninjas in the upcoming Mortal Kombat will have special Klassic palette swap costumes based the early 2D games. These characters are Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile and Ermac. These costumes are currently exclusive DLC content based on the location of your pre-order of the game. Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop are all offering this deal. The army of Ermac comes as a bonus with any pre-order, while ordering from Amazon will grant Reptile, Best Buy will grant Sub-Zero and Gamestop will grant Scorpion. The team from NetheRЯealm Studios has sent out these high definition renders seen on the websites mentioned above in low or standard quality. MK (2011) Classic Costume - Ermac MK (2011) Classic Costume - Reptile MK (2011) Classic Costume - Scorpion MK (2011) Classic Costume - Sub-Zero The retro costume is based on the original Mortal Kombat ninja attire. Ermac did not officially appear in the game, though the game did eventually result in his creation. These images should not be taken as confirmation of the exclusion of other palette swaps such as Smoke, Noob Saibot and Rain, as these costumes may only be released for the officially announced characters. Keep in mind that Ermac's costume was not revealed initially, and was only unveiled once the character himself was confirmed for the game just a few weeks ago. Either way, be sure to reserve your copy today for these classic attires! www.mortalkombatonline.com/perl/cds.cgi?external_action=displayImage&id=2702www.mortalkombatonline.com/perl/cds.cgi?external_action=displayImage&id=2703www.mortalkombatonline.com/perl/cds.cgi?external_action=displayImage&id=2701www.mortalkombatonline.com/perl/cds.cgi?external_action=displayImage&id=2700
