After the first match, soft booing was heard, but the next one quickly started. After the second match, they were even more angry, but they were still hoping their hero could battle back. After the third, and all the way up to the end of the last one, they were booing louder than ever. Cage did it, he did what he said he was gonna do, and the fans hated him for it. They were pissed. Their hero had been defeated 4 matches to 1, and they were voicing their displeasure. The arena was in an uproar, and security was quickly running around trying to calm the crowd and stop the people trying to hop the barricade, and there were many. For the fans not angry enough, or not dumb enough to try to hop the barricade were witnessing a strange sight. Cage, and Fyre, both laid out in the middle of the ring, unmoving.
They had given it their all. For 30 minutes, they had given it their all. They had did everything they could to defeat the other person, and in the end, Cage came out the victor, but at what cost? He was now out of breath, basically not conscious in the middle of the ring. The last fall he had especially wanted to win, he wanted the 5-0 win to stick it to Angel, but Angel was the better man for the last match. Neither man was able to move right now, and referees hadn't yet gotten to the ring to check on them. Then, it happened.
Cage coughed. Just a normal cough. But it showed that he was still alive. Angel then coughed too, though neither man moved. Cage then moved. Ever so slowly, he crawled his way over to the apron, where there was a mic luckily. It took a while, but eventually he got there, and then he sat in the corner, staring at Angel. He had started to move now, both men put up the fight of their lives, and most likely had nothing left in them. Cage however, just had that one last little gloat in him.
Heh..... I-I did it Angel.... you said you were gonna beat me from pi-piillar to pos-..... said y-y-you were gonna kick my...... ass all over this ring... and look what happened. Y......y......y-you didn't. To all the h-haters, a-a-all the d-doubters, all of you.... I won. I t-t-t-told you. I did it.
Cage threw the mic to the side, and helped himself out of the corner. He stumbled his way over to the ropes, ignoring the chaos that was happening outside the ring. Cage rolled out of the ring, almost falling on his neck in the process, and started to walk backstage. About midway up, he stopped, and turned around. He still saw the crowd going mad, no one wanted him to win. No one. They all doubted him. They all wanted him to lose, and he didn't. All the disbelievers, the haters, the doubters... they were all proven wrong.
Cage fell to the ground, heaving and coughing. That match literally took everything he had. Cage looked up and saw Angel still in the ring. The thought that went through his head was ilegible - not even Cage knew what he was going to do next. What he did do though, was unexpected. Slowly, he picked himself off of the ground, and started walking - no, stumbling - himself back towards the ring. It took all he had to climb into the ring, and he had to lean in the corner just to stand up. He looked down at a fallen Angel, and that's exactly what he was.... A Fallen Angel. What he did next, while the smallest of gestures, shocked everyone.
His hand. It reached out. To Angel. No one knew why, no one really understood anything about the hatred/friendship of Cage and Angel, but that one gesture, surprised everyone. Cage stuck out his hand to Angel, and smiled. No one knew why, but he did....
