As I:W's "American Tour" started in full swing. Alot of rumblings were being done over the social media network phenomenon known as "Twitter". Like many wrestlers, past or present. Genesis himself has a Twitter account. To which he uses to communicate with wrestlers and fans alike.
A proposal was made several days ago to Genesis' account from the one, and only Brent Starr. The tweet went as follows:
After this tweet had been sent out. Genesis quickly replied:
From that moment onward. Shockwaves were sent out. Was this simply a joke? Was it a couple of wrestlers having there fun messing with the minds of the IWC?
Soon enough. All those questions were about to answered very shortly...
Genesis' music began to play. Welcomed by a roaring crowd on hand for tonight's show. This man had not been seen in a wrestling capacity since "Revolution". When Chris Lionheart, the owner & CEO of the company. Brutally, and viciously. Assaulted Genesis. Sending him to the hospital. After a few weeks. He was released. Forcing himself to go back, and start 'training' again. This one attack, had pushed him over the edge.
When Genesis entered the arena. His head had been shaved. No more, was his flowing jet black hair that has once been a trademark. His beard had grown out significantly. He had scars on his head to remind him of the damage dealt to him by a cruel, and vindictive CEO.
As he entered the ring. The fans were as enthusiastic as can be. Quickly, Genesis grabs a microphone and gets down to business for why he's come here tonight.
Genesis:
"Ya know, its amazing how much things can change at the drop of a dime. One month ago. I came out to Japan for one mission in mind. My plan was to shut down Chris Lionheart's operation. Feeling that he had pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. I knew, that Chris was up to no good. I didn't trust him. I begged. I pleaded. I did everything I could, to stop him. At the end of the day. When I felt like I had worn myself out from all the talking. We settled on what I thought was to have been an agreement. Next thing I know? I'm out on the ground. Get choked out by the man. A proposal was made several days ago to Genesis' account from the one, and only Brent Starr. The tweet went as follows:

Genesis:
Needless to say. The spineless coward showed his true colors. NOW, the world knew the Chris Lionheart I always knew existed deep inside. That underneath all the corporate suit & tie getup. He was a changed man.
Chris... I just want you to know one thing. Before I get down the to real reason why I'm here? As soon as I'm down settling business with somebody else. Your next pal!
The fans erupt for a moment. As Genesis starts to pace around the ring a bit. Talking as he walked. With that out of the way. Its time to get down to business.
Genesis: "I've come here tonight for one real reason. That's to answer publicly the question everyone around the world wants to know...
Will I come out of retirement, and wrestle Brent Starr at Rise to Stardom?
The answer is real simple.YES!"
The fans went nuts. While its not been signed, sealed & delivered on paper. At least verbally. Genesis has accepted the impromptu challenge by Brent Starr. Now, time for Genesis to deliver the reason behind his decision.
Genesis: "Some of you must be calling me a hypocrite. That I've said in the past. I'll never step back into this ring. And well... frankly, the fans are right. I did say those things. But lets get one thing perfectly clear. When an opportunity like this presents itself? You don't say no.
The reason I accepted this challenge to Brent Starr. As opposed to maybe answering the call from someone else? Is because I know like Starr knows. This match between he and I is a dream-come-true for the wrestling fans. Its a DRAW, and its a Money-Maker. Bottom line? Wrestling is a business. I was presented with a business offer, that I simply could not turn down...
For as many years as Brent & I have busted our asses in our careers to get to this point. The fans want to see two guys, who frankly don't give a rats ass about what the public thinks of them. Lock horns once & for all to see who the better man is.
No titles. No gimmick matches. No silly stipulations.
This is just me, and the "PWNdozer", wrestling and doing what we can do best on any given night with the right person. And that's steal the show. At "Rise to Stardom". That is exactly what will happen. To those who may question my ring rust. No need to worry. Because from this point forward. I'm going to be in the gym. Training my ass off. To get back into fighting shape.
Just so you do know, Brent. In September, I'm coming after you with everything I got. Between this microphone to this very ring. You will see the best in Genesis. Just like I hope to see the very best in you.
In the past. I know you've made mention that you've been held back. Forced to dumb yourself down to cater to the masses of whiners and complainers that couldn't deal with you. Brent? Do me a favor. Don't do that to me. Be who you're, and I'll gladly return the favor. That's what makes us the very best this business will ever have to offer, PERIOD!
With that being said? I'm looking to get this deal officially signed very soon.So Chris? Get that John Hancock ready. But until then? I'll be waiting...
With that, Genesis throws down the microphone. His music begins to play again. The crowd is shocked. The main event for this year's Rise to Stardom has, at the very least anyway. Been accepted on verbal terms. All that's left to do is sign the deal from both men, and the CEO Chris Lionheart. To make this happen. When that goes down. Needless to say. This will TRULY be a "Match for the Ages" that we've all waited to see.
