Hiya gang. Tis another week. So, time for another lesson from my wicked mind of wrestling e-fed knowledge. Nothing better else to do. So my as well spread the wealth, right? lol
Okay. Today's lesson, I'm gonna try to keep this brief as possible. I'm gonna talk about Factions in general. What makes a group successful? Also, what can kill a group no matter how 'great' of a roster you put together for one.
First and foremost. My personal recommendation for ANY e-fed stable or faction, is to limit yourself to only a handful of guys/gals. 3-5 members top. Nothing more then five. Any group above five members is pushing it.
Frankly, there hasn't been too many memorable factions/stables throughout e-fedding. About the only one's that standout in my mind that I've PERSONALLY witnessed with my eyes take place was The Familia, MoneyMaker Inc (MMInc) and The Upper Echelon.
I credit the lack of having a full blown 10, 20+ member group as being the biggest reason for there successes. Certainly, having stand-out characters involved can also help out a great deal. But, the biggest reason is communication amongst all members. Stay in contact with your group members from week to week. Plan out your promo's and direction you want to go in the group. Stay 'hands on' as much as you possibly can. Talk with the other group or faction you're feuding with (or at least, the couple of characters your group is targeting if its not another stable your going after). Bottom line folks. Communication is key!
Lack of communication is something else that can kill a faction faster then it gets off the ground. If you either can't keep up, or follow instructions by your group leader (or whomever you got in charge of your faction as the ring leader). You're fucked! Simple as that. Your group will not make it.
Another thing too. A faction is having actual 3-5 different handlers controlling different characters to make everything work. Not having one handler control that same number of characters... lol. I don't mean that to be disrespectful in anyway if people have done that in the past or present. But to me, its not really that challenging when you do it in this manner. I believe a group stands out more when you have a entity consisted of people who are willing to go the extra mile to incorporate there characters into a well-oiled machine. In other words, when everyone is on the same page with the same goals in mind? There is no wrong way you can go. If you go into a faction with different agenda's then the rest of your crew. You might as well be out on your own. That's NOT... the way you do things.
Like I mentioned at the top of this thread. Having more then five members in a group is, to me, the proverbial Kiss of Death. While it may have been the cool/hip thing to have 20+ people in a stable, (aka, n.W.o back in the day). Realistically, its not possible to pull off. If it can be done somehow? God bless ya then. Because I've never once seen a 20 member or more group become a success story for any e-fed. If its happened before? Great. But as an e-fedder that's been around the block and back. I don't recommend going that route.
So with that being said. I'm gonna leave my lesson at that for this week. Once again, thank you guys for reading. Any questions, comments or anything you wanna add? By all means. DO it! lol.
Matter of fact. Let's do something fun with this. What is your favorite faction(s)? Feel free to hammer that out & discuss all you want. I'd love to hear what the I:W "Universe" has to say about this...
