His voice could be heard from within the locked room.
The door, locked from the inside, was thin enough to just barely make out what was being said.
So anyone on the outside, could hear what was being said inside.
Coasting time is over. This isn't lazivation wrestling, this is Innovation Wrestling. People turn the channel to us, as the alternative to the S.O.S out there. You were brought here to bring some media attention, some much needed relevancy for those who watch because they can relate to you, and your just not that relateable anymore. I can even go as far as to say, you've lost it. You had a connection between yourself and the fans. Something that made them always wonder what you'd do next. What you'd say. How you would handle the situation. Now they know, you'll just sit back, let challenges go unanswered, and coast on by on what you've done, and are capable of doing if you ever have your head on straight.
For christs sake. The torch wasn't handed off by me and others so you could put it on your birthday cake every year. It was so guys like you could proceed to do what you've done before. Give the top stars in this industry a run for their money. So now, I'm doing one last thing, ONE LAST THING to try and push you into the right direction.
Here is a microphone. You can either use it the right way, and DEMAND that spotlight again, or you can cut the same old cut and paste promo you've done for the last year or two. Are you unfulfilled hype? Or are you the phoenix that is just waiting to rise? Because if your waiting to rise... well get it the hell on already. People are beginning to forget you even exist.
He tosses the microphone on the ground, turns his back on the person he was talking to, and walks out of the room past everyone who was listening.
Hopefully this was the last time that talk needed to be had. He was leaving the door wide open for anyone else to do what they please.
