Apparently England used to have £1 notes. Saw it on an old 1970's TV Show called Love Thy Neighbour and went hunting on the internet. The Bank of England Series D one pound note was discontinued in 1984, having been replaced by a pound coin the year before, and was officially withdrawn from circulation in 1988.Which bright spark decided we had to carry round pockets full of £1 and £2 coin change? I want £1 notes back dammit, like like American have their $1 bills.

Well we have some other change as well that doesn't do much.
Hell having a dollar in your pocket seem means you really don't have any money

Pretty sure America used to have 2 dollar bills. Could be wrong, but I think I was told that once. Another interesting thing about money, Canada's bills are going to be no longer paper money. They already have 100 dollar plasticy bills in circulation. Cool stuff
