This is wearing a liiiiittle bit fucking thin now, in my opinion. The Jim Carrey Riddler impression, mixed with a little of Ceaser Romero's TV Batman series uncontrollable laughter outbursts, with the Joker facepaint of Ledger's Joker. For a while it was interesting. It actually showed how Sting was losing it, at the thought of trying to wrestle control of TNA away from Immortal/trying to bring the 'real Hulk Hogan' back. For him to still have the Joker paint and Jim Carrey mannerisms now, after Hogan's face turn at Bound For Glory, is just stupid. For the record I didn't like "Joker Sting" last year as much as I liked the previous year's "Heel Sting" - which would try to warn Dixie and the fans, whilst he was aligned with Kevin Nash, and cycling through his Wolfpack era facepaint and wardrobe. I thought Joker Sting was a poor imitation of the year previous, but I appreciated that it allowed Sting to be more energetic, like the classic Surfer Sting of the 80s and early 90s - even if he did lay on the Jim Carrey impression a little thick. At this point I'd rather see him go back to the look he had for the briefest time in 2010, after returning to take Jeff Hardy's Immortal World Title, and debut the current TNA Title. That look seemed to be the perfect blend of the classic facepaint and energy with the look of the modern 'crow' Sting.

Well he is in the "Insane Icon". I think it works as long as he doesn't fly too far off the handle. Right now. He's playing mind games with Roode, and its working. I grew OLD of the usual 'Sting' face persona. Its tired. Its boring. IT doesn't work anymore. The old "Crow" Sting, in 96-97 before he started talking again. While it was unique and groundbreaking for its time. Would a 'Sting' like that work today? I doubt it. Since he kept a touch of that in 2010 before turning 'heel'. My feeling is this. Let Sting run with the Joker gimmick. See where it goes. At the end of the day. I'm entertained by it. For what I'm about to talk about next isn't directed at Karl (so don't get scared thinking I 'hate you', since we'll likely agree to disagree on the above). I believe people need to stop over-analyzing the product so much and just enjoy it as a 'fan' for a change? Just a thought... In general. As far as wrestling goes. To me, I think the wrestling smarks is whats gonna kill the business. Not Vince Russo, Hogan, Bischoff, The McMahons, HHH, Cena, the 'PG' era WWE. Fans spend too much time sitting back. Picking apart every little thing they see on TV. Try to picture it in there minds how they would want the angles & matches to go, etc. Then when they don't get what they pictured in there little pea-sized brains. Then we get the uproar of the IWC, which usually comes after a WWE or TNA PPV on every 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month. Bottom line. Be a fan again. Remember what it was like when you believed in these guys. When you had people you cheered for. Those you hated. Not because of what they did on the outside of the ring. But what they did to make you love them, or hate them inside the squared circle. Maybe I feel like The Undertaker or HHH. Where I feel I might as well be the last of that dying breed. A "Wrestling Fan", who loves wrestling for what it is. Good or Bad. Rather then sit back & dictate everything I see. Granted, I know I have my fun at times coming up with "What If" scenarios & what have you. I'm guilty of that. But, I don't let my vision of how a storyline should go. Or, how a wrestling match should play out. Affect my love for the game of professional wrestling. Sadly... we've got alot of those so-called "fans" who do. This situation is everywhere at every wrestling website, social media network like Facebook or Twitter. You name it. I wish people would smarten up, and be true wrestling fans again. Rather then try to play arm-chair booker 24/7. Or, place blame on promoters, writers or even wrestlers, as to why angles/matches/storylines don't go the way you wanted them to.

First of all the point of the topic.
I haven't been able to hear his Homer style speak so I'm not sure how it sounds.
But he is playing up the insane style of joker to mess with people then goes back to being boss Guy sting.
So for that its working. Its not a real big change from crow sting. He is since working on keeping his gimmick from going stale like a lot of others who haven't changed in years.
The whole lets all be a fan, and not play out what should have happened. Well, I like to play both sides of things. I just doing go ranting on how things should have gone.
I will love to see the wwe. Fix that PG stuff and not stop a match for blood. They don't need to remake the attitude era. But they should pay attention to the fact that no one likes the tease of Cena. Being heel. Most people know why he wont or want do it for more then the run to meet the rock. He makes them a lot of money.
