I thought that Russo had stepped down as head writer?
Roode is built up like crazy with the Bound For Glory Series. Hogan takes a shit on him days before the PPV. Original plan of Roode winning changed to Kurt going over. Next night on Impact, James Storm beats Kurt Angle in 3 MINUTES! What the hell? After all the Roode buildup, and the finisher-spam match they had, and Storm can just walk into the match and win in 3 minutes?
So it looks like Roode is going to become jealous, turn heel and start feuding with Storm, thus breaking up Beer Money, and chipping away at Fortune's members once more now that Daniels is out of the group.
To me there are so many better ways they could have done this...

Are you kidding, their thinking is they'd rather have Roode beat Storm, then Angle lose to him and look bad apparently.
I'm ignoring TNA completely, even with Ted Turners money now.

I'm sorry, but personally I don't rate James Storm anywhere NEAR Bobby Roode as a singles wrestler. Whereas Bobby has some depth to him, Storm has always seemed to me to be a drunken, cowboy, Boomhour from King Of The Hill - a one dimensional side-character.
And I really don't want to see Roode be a heel again. I completely got my fill of heel 'Robert Roode' from August 2006-May 2009, when Beer Money turned face. Returning to that character face/heel alignment doesn't do a damn thing for me. Just like Angle being a heel bores me to tears after having sat through his Angle Alliance, Main Event Mafia etc. runs as a heel. There are certain things which have been done to death and don't need to be on TV in 2011.

Agreed... Roode has "IT" and I'm proud to say I was in attendance for a load of his first matches of his career. He's come A LONG WAY from then, and he deserves that title.
In other news, Gail Kim is back in TNA as Karen Jarrett's enforcer *eye roll*

The main issue I have with all this is. Me personally. I don't have a problem with James Storm getting the strap. What I do have a problem is. HOW he got the title. Now, I'm not referring to the 3 min. shock-fest that supposedly happened during the tapings. But what I do have a problem is. James Storm winning the belt, mainly because of Hulk Fucking Hogan's politics. We all know by now the comments he's made before BFG ever happened. Where he felt Jeff Hardy was 'the guy', and that he felt James Storm had the right look, persona, etc, etc. Compared to somebody like Bobby Roode. Who he deemed "wasn't ready" and all that other nonsense.
Hulk Hogan. To use a phrase. Your full of shit, "brother!" Thank you for fucking this up for everyone. Thank you, for taking a guy like Bobby Roode. A man who has busted his ass off to get where he needed to be. A man, who can wrestle circles around your ass any day of the week. Who has the RIGHT look. The RIGHT persona. The Total Package. Only for you to bend him over & fuck him like you did. Then to add salt to the open wound. You pull THIS SHIT at the TV taping!?
Bottom line. I don't have a problem at all with James Storm. Congrats that he got the belt. But I fucking hate the way it all went down. I hate the way Bobby Roode got fucked over in all this mess. More importantly. I hate Hogan with every fiber of my being. I know Hogan has done & said some things in the past. But this takes the cake for me.
I talked about BFG with a few ppl. here on MSN. How up until the ending. BFG was a good show. Everything was going smoothly. I had fun watching it. How it seemed that TNA might be getting it right & turning a corner. Now that Russo was demoted. Bruce Pritchard was stepping in as Head Writer. With David Lagana coming in from ROH. Ted Turner rumored to have bought stock in TNA from Panda Energy. Then the shit goes down during the main event at BFG that led me to believe other wise. And now this crap happens at the TV taping!?
I believe we have officially went from very, very bad booking with Vince Russo. To fucking atrocious with this 'new regime', if you will, in Impact Wrestling... TNA Wrestling... whatever the fuck you wanna call this crap-hole of a company nowadays. LOL!

SPOILERS for next week's Meacon Georgia Tapings... Dark Match:
* Jimmy Rave def. Kyle Matthews.
Impact Wrestling for November 3:
* James Storm and Robert Roode open the show. They talk about tonight’s main event, and say they will have a great match.
* Gail Kim & Madison Rayne def. Tara & Miss Tessmacher for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship. Karen Jarrett interfered in the match.
* Garrett Bischoff called out his father, Eric, to the ring. Garrett said he would apologize for Bound For Glory. Garrett then beat up his father. Ric Flair and Gunner came out for the save.
* Jesse Sorenson def. Austin Aries in a non-title match.
* Robbie E. and Rob Terry call out Ronnie from “Jersey Shore” and Eric Young. Ronnie comes out and spears down Robbie. Rob Terry catches him and whips him. A tag team match is booked for next week.
* Bully Ray & Jeff Jarrett vs. Jeff Hardy & Mr. Anderson went to a No Contest. Scott Steiner interfered and joined Ray and Jarrett in beating up Hardy and Anderson.
* Matt Morgan challenged Crimson to a match at Turning Point. Crimson accepted the challenge.
* Robert Roode def. James Storm to become the NEW TNA World Champion. Roode hit Storm with a beer bottle and picked up the win. Roode then turned heel on the crowd. Fuck me, TNA! We didn't even get to the following PPV, Turning Point on Nov 13th, before Roode showed his ass and turned heel. They have no sense of pacing and building anticipation, do they? After two weeks of Storm as the champ and getting to display himself on the microphone I was actually beginning to dig him as World Champ. There was a video package where he successfully put himself, Roode 'and' Kurt Angle over. Then when Storm did the right thing and announced Roode would get the first shot, Joe's butting-in talking about how Fortune shouldn't keep the belt in the family or they'd be no better than Immortal, I thought things were looking up. I thought that TNA had presented to us a viable, legitimate, buffer zone to keep the Beer Money pair from meeting up and Roode turning. I thought Joe would come along and win the Number 1 Contenders match against Roode, and we could have a slow build on Roode/Storm. But of course this is TNA, which I could honestly book better. As of Nov 3rd, Beer Money will be dead, Fortune will be lying in tatters, James Storm will have been a flash-in-the-pan 3 week champion, and Bobby Roode will be back to his tired-ass heel schtick that nobody wants to see again.

I've honestly been enjoying TNA a lot lately even with it's flaws. Even with shit booking I've been able to enjoy the matches and Roode's build up, but damn they sure know how to finish a story eh?
