And I think I've figured out what I don't like about it.
First of all, you can't rotate the camera 180' using the R3 analogue stick on PS2. All you do is rotate the camera around 90' to get a side view of Leon. This is no good for turning around quickly and retreating from battle, should you need to.
When you are readying your weapon, in the weapon stance, the fucking camera button, R3, not what you use to aim your gun. Instead it's the movement button, L3, which does it. So if you're like me you keep instinctively trying to move when shooting, sending your gun up in the air or down to the floor instead of walking forward/backwards with the gun armed.
This game feels completely stuck between two control schemes. Give me movement on the left side of the controller, and camera/weapon aim on the right, like most Action-Adventure/First Person Shooters do. Because honestly that's what the RE series has become.
I can't play this, because my brain is hot-wired to play this in a certain way and that's not how it's mapped-out on the controller.
