I:W ShowDown opens cold with a video package of Chris Lionheart sat on the front porch of his home in England, relaxing in a porch swing.
You know... sometimes it's nice to get away from the daily grind of 'the business'. All the extra work which goes into making sure that the matches you see on TV are the best we can provide. So I'm taking this week off to be at home and get caught-up with the retired life again. But don't worry, if I can't get a permenant replacement authority figure, I may have stumbled onto the next best thing. Guest General Managers.
I know what you're thinking. It's not original or innovative. And you'd be right. But as they say in Memphis "things be that way, sometimes". This week's telecast of I:W ShowDown will be brought to you by an old friend, Kyle Nobbs. He is the man in charge tonight.
As the driver's side doors opened up. The man who steps out of this beautiful H-3 Hummer was none other then Genesis. Who saw fit to make this special trip over to Lionheart's crib to talk a little off-the-record business.
'Five days' have passed since Showdown. Where Chris Lionheart named Kyle Nobbs General Manager for one night only. Out of this idea. Sparked another one by Genesis. An idea that he would like to throw out there just to see what Chris' reaction would be. After-all. "Even idiots can have there moments too!" Chris Lionheart. While his idea's are a one in a million chance of being successful. He was known for hitting a couple of fly balls outta the ball park from time to time.
Genesis walked up the steps to Lionheart's front doorstep. Chris was likely going to be shocked to see Genesis of all people at his home. Perhaps Genesis was a bit obsessive in traveling all the way to England just to have a chat with the boss. However, this trip was all the more worth it. Especially if Genesis' idea were to go over well.
Genesis knocked on the door. Then rang the doorbell afterwards. Hoping Chris would be home.
