I:W's inaugural PPV telecast was at hand. As "Aggression" was live tonight to a band of enthusiastic wrestling fans. Should be a big night for the company. But perhaps, a bigger night for a former competitor?
In a video that has since gone viral. Genesis promised that he wasn't done with I:W just yet. Even though his in-ring career is finished. He wasn't going to let that stop him from making an impact in 2012. He had unfinished business to deal with. Chris Lionheart, whom for years, has been a thorn in Genesis' side (and vice versa). Never officially got to settle any of there differences.
Its been well over 7 years since the two men first met face-to-face during I:W's opening act in early 2006. Since that time. The tensions between Lionheart & Genesis have continued to grow. While Genesis spent much of last year helping to lead an invasion with MoneyMaker Incorporated to take over the organization. Lionheart was on the sidelines enjoying retirement life with his family.
By year's end. Genesis lost a retirement match after a memorable feud to Double S to cap off the 2011 fiscal year. At the same time. Chris Lionheart made his triumphant return to Rise to Stardom. Just as Genesis was seemingly on his way out the door.
Finding the situation to be rather convenient for Lionheart. Genesis wasn't going to let the end of his wrestling career put a stop to his vendetta with Chris.
Thus, here we are at Aggression. Genesis made his way out to the ring. The crowd welcomed him back. Scattered cheers as a show of respect to the man who has, at times, carried the company on his back in its darkest hours. Other fans boo'd as they despised everything this man stood for.
Nonetheless, Genesis didn't care or seemed to let the reactions get to him. As he climbed into the ring. Genesis looked around at the crowd on hand. Tonight? He was looking for answers. In order to get them. He had to call out the 'boss'. To Genesis. He used the term 'boss' very loosely. Since Lionheart, nor anyone else, was no 'boss' to him.
So with that said. Genesis grabs a microphone and lets em' have it!
Genesis - "Ya know. I signed a one year deal to come back to this company. Not because I wanted to. Not because I had to do it. I did it... because frankly? The 'King' has unfinished business to attend to.
When the final bell sounded at Rise to Stardom. Everyone, including Double S & MG Cage, believed that my career was dead in the water. That since Genesis could no longer 'compete' in a wrestling ring. This company would be rid of my existence.
Guess what fellas? As much as I hate to use such a cliche term: "I'm baaaaaaaack!" haha" Fans start to boo. As Genesis continues onward...Genesis - "Before I go any further. For those who have been living under a rock lately. Lemme show the world why I'm out here. Take a look." Genesis points to the titantron. As video begins to roll. Showing the taped message Genesis had sent to Lionheart no more then a week ago.The camera's were rolling. As we see Genesis. Sporting a black suit. Grey undershirt, and maroon/crimson red tie. Black sunglasses on. As we see him standing over a coffin in a funeral home of all places. Black & White roses placed on a silver casket. The casket lid was shut. Who was in it? Nobody seems to know. But as Genesis looked down at the coffin. A devilish grin came over his face. He had a story to tell today. His intentions? Were to make sure this story was heard for one man, and one man only...
Genesis - "We all are quite familiar with the story of how a cat can grow into a fierce, and ruthless lion. In times when our will is pushed to the breaking point. We all rise to the occasion to stand up for what is right. For what we believe in. But what happens when a lion is reverted back to its roots? hmm? haha!" Genesis spoke. Using the analogy of when a person's limit is pushed beyond his/her's control. How they discover a hidden, aggressive side of themselves that they never knew existed. He believed that 'one man', on this roster had that in him. But somehow, along the way. This person reverted back to a helpless pussy cat. A teddy bear, if you will.
Becoming too kind. Too giving. Too WEAK beyond words.Genesis - "So Chris... how have you been? Its been a LONG time, has it not? Matter of fact. Its been about four years since you and I last saw each other face to face, eye to eye. Then again, that is unless you count the day of my retirement. When you had the gaul to approach me backstage to wish me well in my future endeavors. How ironic? That your return to the organization was the day you had long hoped that I'd be out of your hair? As if my retirement was the 'end' of Genesis. That without the wrestling ring. I could do no more. That you, and your precious company would be safe from me. That I could no longer do the organization no harm.
No more invasions. No more backstabbing. No more manipulations. No more mind games. No more controversial angles, and worked shoots.
Lemme ask you, Chris. Do you really think its over? Oh no... its only just begun. You see. Every Yin, needs a Yang. Much like The Dark Knight needs a Joker. Or, when Clark Kent needs the power of Super Man to become invincible. Every Lionheart... needs a Genesis.
Without me. Your existence is futile. I've hated you from the moment I laid eyes on you all those years ago. You stand for everything that is wrong in this industry, Chris. You try to be the good sport. The goodie, goodie. The one who dreams of a heavenly, utopia existence. You put too... much... faith? In others.
When you should learn. That the others you put the faith in. Are only waiting for the day that you turn your back. So they can drive the knife into your spine. Paralyzing you, beyond repair.
With me? What you see? Is what you get. You know what to expect from me. I never hid my intentions. I never played company man, or the All-American guy. I never played the role you always wanted me to be. So in turn. I played the role that many wish they could be. I played as myself.
Genesis. No gimmicks. No scripts. No bullet points. What you saw from me? Was 110% genuine to the very core.
So that begs the question, Christopher:
By year's end. Are you ready to "Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" And with that. Genesis opens up the casket to reveal a wax dummy of Chris Lionheart. The Lionheart of old. Perhaps, this was an omen of things to come? Gen's prediction of what Lionheart's future is going to be if he doesn't become the man Genesis once believed him to be.
Deep down. Genesis knew that Chris could be just as horrible as Genesis was. But played a terrific job of masking this with a corporate outlook. A guy who did what was 'best for business', and looked out for his own employee's. When Genesis knew full well that at any given time. Chris Lionheart could be as ruthless as he was. Thus, it was Gen's job to bring the old tyrant back that had a set of balls. Rather then the balls his wife & kid carried around in her purse.
So will the Lionheart of old stand up, and become a fighter. Who was once strong & brave? Or... become the cowardly lion that hides behind a corporate suit & tie?
Genesis - "As you can see. Despite what many people want to think, or believe. I'm NOT here to get my revenge on Double S. At Rise to Stardom. The better man won. I'm not even here to go after MG Cage, who helped Double S send me 'straight to hell' in my own bottomless pit of a grave.
I'm here... because there is somebody in the backstage area that has been hiding, and ducking me since day #1. A man, who has weaseled his way out of one encounter after another. A man, that each of you know very well to be known as Chris Lionheart. BUt to me? He is simply "Chris Hart". The man behind the face paint of lies, deceit, smoke & mirrors.
So Chris? Why don't you come out here to this ring. Grow a sack, and lets have a little 'chat'. Just like old times." Gen. lowers the mic for a second. But not before quickly raising it to make one last statement.Genesis - "And if you think about dodging this bullet? I'm gonna come back there to your office. Grab you by that corporate tie you hide behind. Then drag your carcass out to this ring so I can maybe pound some sense into you. Cause believe me. I don't need to be 'pro wrestler' anymore, to whip somebodies ass!"

Chris Lionheart walks out onto the stage, and proceeds to make his way down to the ring area.
"Smoke and mirrors? Smoke and mirrors? I don't know what you're talking about. Over the years if there's anyone who's conducted themselves with smoke and mirrors it's you, old friend. You've come and gone, sworn allegiance to people, patting them on the back, only to find the soft spot to drive the knife in whenever you thought you could get the upper hand. Nothing is ever personal, it's always 'business', business that benefits you, and you are never to blame. And here you stand once again coming after me... for some vague reason I cannot grasp.
And do you know why I don't understand it? I've played both sides of this corporate suit and tie before. I've been the corporate guy in the past and handed out punishments in the past, tried to be fair to everyone, and because of that I was called-out for holding people down. I've also been up close and personally invested in the action, and been called-out for... holding people down! For the record I haven't held anyone down or stole their spotlight in my entire career. The only thing I ever did as a wrestler was lead a movement elsewhere to get the underneath guys up to the top, and every since I was taken out back behind the tool shed and was shot-down for my actions, I struggled for five long years to get myself back to the level I once was, the Undisputed World Champion of this great company!
As a staff authority figure and owner of the company I did even less, in a failed attempt to not be called an overbearing corporate tyrant whom held everyone down. Continually I tried to pass the buck to other people, didn't I? I set-up different authority figures that I hoped I could trust, but something always seems to happen and they can't cut the mustard and get the job done. They can't handle the pressures and the politics, or the daily grind. Marcus Corven in Memphis, gone. David Cornell, gone, you hounded that poor man yourself and ran up the bills for replacement office doors. Jeff Kain became a wrestler again. Fuyuki went back to Japan. Sylas Styles... well he got fired by Keith Williams, who later offed himself. And then we have Christian MoneyMaker. The man who was offered a partnership by Keith Williams, in an 'honor amongst thieves' deal, where whatever happened was just good for ratings, there would be no trying to take over control of the company out from underneath the other guy. But that wasn't good enough for MoneyMaker, he had to get his little group and try to win by force, only to lose sight of it all after Keith's death, by focusing too much on the ladies, and now the authority reverts back unto me... I just can't win, can I?
Lionheart paces around the ring some more, before making a large sweeping gesture, pointing far away, towards the backstage area.
I get screwed out of my authority position in 2010 by Keith Williams, fair enough. But I also lose a retirement match fair and square to Ryan Blaze as Rise To Stardom 2. So I go home to merry old England, I play happy families, and I am actually happy in my retirement. But I still have people calling me back. Genesis thinks I'm running away from him. Sentoryu want's a special East VS West Showdown, a headline match with against Chris Lionheart in Japan to strengthen the friendly war between Innovation:Wrestling and Fuyuki Office...
But I won't be drawn back in. Not by you. That would just be the feather in your cap, the badge of honor for you to wear as the man who made Lionheart return. I don't have anything to prove to myself by stepping in between these ropes again. I know that in 2006 I was punished for helping the little guy. I re-paid my dues, and worked my way back to the top of the mountain five years later. I feel as though I've done it all.

Gen. starts pacing around the ring. Scratching his head at first. Not sure what to make of all he has just heard.
Genesis - "The only reason I've 'come and gone' so often Chris. Is because people like you. Along with past so-called 'Authority Figures' like a Keith Williams or a Christian MoneyMaker. Can't keep there shit together to run this company. Do you know how many times this company was on the verge of death? When big names would go off to other organizations. Thus leaving us crippled. People like Scott Manor, Jesse Blair, The Dixon Clan, Sentoryu, Syren, AJ & Shayne Paine, Adrian Kincaid, Megan Van Horn, frankly Chris. I can go on forever. Naming off people who either publicly, or in secret. You put faith in. How did they repay you? They left your ass high & dry. They're all gone!
Funny thing is. I can almost bet at why they left this company in the first place. You see. It really had nothing to do with the organization as a whole. But rather... the people, the clowns, who ran it day after day.
We've had Radio Show personalities, Stock brokers, Con men, Former wrestlers, and everyone else in between. Try to run this company. Each had a vision. Each of them had a promise of 'change'. Then at the end of the day. All we got was the same old tired crap. More lies, More deceit. More... dare I say to you, Chris. BULLSHIT!
So... when I heard you was coming back to the company at Rise to Stardom last year. Needless to say. I was not a happy man. Though you truly believe you've instituted 'change' by changing the colors and the name of this company to something that... frankly it isn't. Come on! Do you really believe this company is "Innovative"? I don't buy it. Neither does Jeff Kain.
Lets move on. Because believe you me Chris. I've only just begun!
Cause I've been waiting for this day. This little face-to-face confrontation with you for seven... long... years! Just so I can walk up to your face. In front of the world. In front of millions watching around the world on Pay-Per-View, or at there computer chairs. Watching this show on some illegal stream sponsored by UStream or First Row. To tell you that your nothing more then a lousy, no good son of a bitch!
Believe me. I wish like hell. You & I weren't retired. Otherwise, I'd destroy in this ring from pillar to post every chance that I could get.
But... since destiny has chosen to screw us both over in that department. I've got an offer for you, Chris. That I know deep down inside. Underneath the suit & ties. The corporate sell-out that you've become. Cannot refuse!
The offer is this. At this year's "Rise to Stardom". We settle this once and for all. I don't want a 'wrestling' match. I don't want us to break our word & go back into the squared circle. I want us to settle this like men. And the only way to do that is if we both take the gloves off. Break the chains. And have ourselves a little 'fight'.
I don't care if it happens somewhere backstage. Out in the streets. At a strip joint. At Disney World. I don't care where it happens. All I'm asking is, Chris. Make it happen!
Oh... but there is just one little catch. After-all. You should know me by now long enough. That I never offer such a challenge as this without something big. Something HUGE... hanging in the balance, right?
It seems to me that you can't stand me as much as I can't stand you. I mean, the grey hairs tell the story right? haha!
So, with that being said. I am willing to walk away from professional wrestling altogether. Never to be seen. Nor heard from again. Not here. Not in any other wrestling promotion. Out of sight. Out of your mind. If you can beat me in this challenge for Rise to Stardom this September." Gen. lowers the microphone. To give this announcement a few moments to sink in with the audience. What an announcement this has turned out to be. Seven years in the making. If Lionheart accepts. We may very well see the challenge that has been 7 years in the making. But, is there more then what meets the eye? Genesis - "Then again. If I can beat you, Chris. I only want one thing, and one thing only..." Without mentioning anymore words. Genesis turns his head. As he looks up to the rafters. Pointing up to the heavens at the I:W - Innovation: Wrestling" logo. Cluing Lionheart, and everyone else watching this all unfold. That if Genesis were to beat Chris Lionheart. He takes over the company. Succeeding where Lionheart, and the countless others have failed in the past to do? Or, would Genesis become another statistic?
All we can do now folks. Is watch, & listen to what Chris has to say next. His next move, is critical.

Lionheart thinks long and hard about what Genesis was proposing...
Something of that magnitude is not to be decided in a wrestling match. I run this place for the people who want to be here, and would be disadvantaged by this company not being here signing their checks and putting-on wrestling TV every week. I can't afford to hand-off control to anyone else, for fear that in two months time they couldn't do everything this job demands, and the company is shut down and the wrestlers lose out. That's why it's always been iron-clad that I am the owner of the company, even if I've been retired, having no input into the weekly TV shows, and someone else has been running around making all the decisions. We're not a publicly traded company and no-one has any voting shares. Me as owner is the ultimate fallback plan, so to speak. I will not have this fractured ecoystem of wrestling companies die on my watch, I'd rather fall on my own sword and die myself, knowing I did everything I could to help facilitate it's survival.
So if you're saying you want control of the day-to-day operations - weather that means to be in charge of all the grunt work that goes along with getting our TV show on the air, or it simply being you out here playing the 'boss' - then either way you're going to have to earn it just like anyone else would. And the way you earn it, is to built trust with me. If I feel I can trust you to keep the place a float in my absence, then one day I may just do that. In this business I need people I can trust, and chronologically you have always seemed to be someone who is at-odds with me for one reason or another. Right now my answer is 'No'. I won't put this company on the line. But I'll tell you just like I'll tell anyone else who may come along and interview to be my ultimate replacement. We'll see how the next 12 months go, see whom I can trust and rely on the most.

Genesis shook his head, chuckled, then raised the mic to his lips as he replied:
Genesis - "Apparently you're hard at hearing. I never said anything about a wrestling match. I just want to kick your ass in a non-sanctioned, no regrets or remorse, fist fight. See, having a wrestling match. Means that I have to obey the rules & bylaws of this company. Pinning your shoulders to the mat. Making you squeal like a pig with a submission hold isn't good enough for me. I'd rather take you out of your safety zone and destroy you out on the streets. Have a guy or two, hold camcorders. Have fans with there cell phone camera's. Snapping pictures. Recording video footage for there YouTube page. Showing the carnage that will insue the moment that I can finally put my hands on you and beat you until you have no choice but to give in & walk away from this company!
Seeing as how you have some 'trust' issues. I'm willing to let you think about this. But bare in mind. Until the moment you agree. Mark my words, Chris. I'm gonna make your life here at *in a mocking tone* Innovation: Wrestling... a living hell.
Every week. Every show. Evey PPV. My goal until you accept my challenge. I will do everything in my power to make you snap. Until you have no other alternative but to give in, and embrace my demands. Think about it Chris. Are you really willing to let your own "ego" get in the way of business?
Seems to me. That is what is holding you back from saying yes. You'd rather let this company go under by your own leadership. Then to let anyone else, ESPECIALLY me, take this company places its never been before.
I'm curious. Humor me, if you will. Why is that you really don't want to accept this challenge, Chris? Is it really because of me? Are you afraid that I will beat you, and ruin your little company? See, despite what my history may tell you. I plan on turning this place upside down, inside out for the better of the company. If I wanted to make this organization anymore worse then it already was. I'd say go ahead & continue letting YOU run it into the ground. Without me caring.
But because I do care about this place. Despite what you may want to think, or believe. I am willing to sacrifice my own career to take control of the ship. Whether or not I am successful at turning this place around? Who knows. Maybe you're right. Maybe I'll send this place into oblivion. Then again... whose to say. That I am the answer to turning everything around. Bringing this company back to its glory days. I'm talkin' circa 2006. When we had every, and any organization wanting to be a part of all this.
So go on ahead. Do your fake 'interviews' to people who you feel are more qualified then me. Bring in the next Christian MoneyMaker. Bring in the next David Cornell. Matter of fact. Bring in the next Chris Lionheart. All men who have come, gone and FAILED, to do anything right for this company.
Despite me not being able to stand the sight of you. I'll admit. You're an ambitious guy, Chris. You have ideas. Ways that would normally help the business. However, the execution of those ideas come off flawed, and uneventful.
So, if you're really that scared to face me. Put everything on the line. Just as I'm willing to do the same. Be a man then, and tell the world the truth. That you're scared, gutless and a coward!" Gen. points out to the crowd, then back to Lionheart. Genesis - "Go on. Tell em'. Don't just tell me that you're not willing to face me at Rise to Stardom. Tell your audience. The very people who PAY you, and your wrestlers to see one helluva performance. Tell those same people 'No'." Gen.lowers the mic. Giving Lionheart an opportunity to reply.

Having grown impatient by the lack of response from Lionheart. Genesis shakes his head. Looks out at the crowd, and says the one thing that he knew would hit a nerve like no other to his quote unquote "former boss" here at I:W.
Genesis - "Apparently folks. Lionheart is either tongue tied or has gone 'mute'. Guess its true what they say. The truth hurts. Ladies & Gentlemen. Feast your eyes on Chris Lionheart. A man who was supposed to be a fighter. Both strong & brave, as his theme song says. But in all reality. All we have here is a scared, old pussycat. Who has apparently replaced his balls in exchange for lovely 'lady parts'.
So Chris? With that said. I'm a man of my word. I'll give you some time to think this over. But in two weeks time? I'm gonna be back live on "Showdown", or whatever the hell you call your TV Show nowadays." This gets a nice little chuckle from the audience. Things have 'changed' so much, perhaps too much on a 24/7 basis. That Genesis has completely forgotten exactly what the show is being called. *sighs*Genesis - "By that time. 'We', which means myself and these wrestling fans you've done such a great job of screwing over royally tonight. We hope to have an answer that the world wants to hear. Until then. Feast your eyes on the titantron. No matter how hard you try to duck & dodge my every challenge. No matter how many times you and the rest of the corporate suits. Whether you'd like to call them 'Board of Directors', 'Powers that Be', 'Championship Committee', 'Ass Kissers', 'Yes Men', or what have you sit back & think that this is all over? That Genesis is dead & buried? Look at this video and realize that while that chapter of my career might be over. My new career will start anew. Once I publically humiliate you, and throw you out of office once and for all!"With that. Genesis takes his leave from the ring. But not before this video starts to play. In case people missed it, or wanted to relive some old memories of Genesis' in-ring career. Throughout the hardships, rivalries, and even his most 'controversial' moments that often led him to being fired or even outright 'banned' from organizations around the globe. Genesis made his mark on the wrestling scene. And now? More then ever before. He's looking to embark on a new chapter in his life. One that he hopes will start effective in September 2012. When he awaits for his long awaited showdown with Chris Lionheart. Shall Chris choose to accept his challenge officially... Only time, will tell.
