Character Background:
On July 21, 1988, Ryan Anthony Pierce was born into the Pierce family. He was the first child of two with his younger sister, Skyy, being a year younger than he was. Money had always been very tight for the Pierce family, but things always seemed to work out in the end. His father had been laid off twice but eventually got a steady job at a car repair shop. His mother worked two jobs, one at the local hospital and the other at the bank. With both of his parents usually gone during the day and night, Ryan practically raised himself and also Skyy. Though his family struggled, Ryan learned one very valuable thing from his parents; always work hard and everything will work on in the end. They always told him to follow his dreams and never look back.
Ryan had two dreams that he never let go. The first was to play in the MLS and the second was to become a professional wrestler. He also had another interest which was working on cars and racing them, but that seemed to come naturally to him. In order to play in the MLS and become a professional wrestler, he had to work hard and put in the extra hours. So along with taking care of himself and Skyy, Ryan also worked a part time job at the local car shop, went to school, practiced soccer, and practiced wrestling. He was always busy but he always found spare time to hang with friends and also help Skyy with her dream of playing in the WNBA.
Things did begin to turn in the right direction for the family when Ryan’s father received a job position with NASCAR as a mechanic. Although this meant he wouldn’t be around very much, he received a much larger paycheck which helped the family pay off bills easier. It also allowed Ryan’s mom to leave the bank job and work only at the hospital which allowed her more time at home with Ryan and Skyy. Things continued to get better when Ryan was offered a full scholarship to the University of North Carolina to play soccer. He also received more scholarships from other prestigious schools but committed to UNC. Skyy also received a full scholarship from Boston College to play basketball. Their parents were very proud of their children since they practically took care of themselves and are continuing on with their dreams. Not only did they receive full scholarships, but the two also received various awards for their academic excellence.
While at UNC, Ryan made friends with upperclassman and fellow teammate, Romeo Davis. One day after practice, the two were talking and Ryan mentioned that he not only played soccer but also wrestled. The two hit it off even more since Romeo was a wrestler whom was in training and looking to join a business once he graduated. From that point on Romeo began helping Ryan with his wrestling and the two often wrestled against each other to test the other’s skills. Eventually Romeo graduated and went off to Europe to train before eventually joining a wrestling business. Ryan continued to train by himself on the side with his main focus on school work and soccer. He still had his main dream which was to make it into the MLS. Ryan then graduated from UNC and was projected to be the 3rd overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft. This was truly a great moment for Ryan, but he decided not to enter the draft. Though his main dream was that he wanted to play in the MLS, he wanted to wrestle even more at that moment. So with wrestling set as his dream, he continued to train and eventually signed with TNB wrestling where he would begin his wrestling career.
TNB History:
Ryan Whyte would make his debut match during a TNB Showdown show where he would taken on Michael St. Star in a singles match. Ryan would go on to winning that match up after hitting his Whyte Out finisher which would keep St. Star down for the count. Following this match, Ryan was attacked by Shawn Youngblood. More superstars would eventually come down to the ring to start out a brawl. In the end, Shawn would challenge Michael St. Star and Ryan to a flaming tables match against him and Joker. This would be his first encounter with MMInc. which he didn't want anything to do with that early in his career.
Ryan would go into the match giving all that he had and came out with a victory after St. Star put Joker through a flaming table. Immediately after the match, Ryan was attacked once again but this time by his teammate Michael St. Star along with Outlaw Inc. This would anger Ryan and lead his to challenge St. Star to another match. That coming week he didn't end up getting the match he wanted because he would have to go through Outlaw Inc. first. The match that was made was Ryan against Scott Cane and if he won then we would go on to face Jason Cane. If he was to beat Jason then he could have his shot at St. Star.
Ryan couldn't even get past Scott Cane that night with Scott easily beating Ryan. Ryan was shocked with how easily Scott beat him and was upset that he lost his chance at challenging St. Star to another match. Ryan would go into the next week determined to beat Scott and challenged him to another match. He figured that he now knew how Scott wrestled and he believed that he had a better shot at beating his this time around. But once again Scott would come out with the victory leaving Ryan in the ring shocked once again.
The following week came down to the ring disappointed with himself and called Scott Cane down to the ring one last time. He challenged him to a third and final match. If he was to be able to beat Scott this time around then he would get his shot at St. Star and if he lost he would never be able to challenge St. Star again. Scott accepted the match that would end up being a TLC match in which Ryan Whyte would end up winning after a long bout. That would allow him to now challenge St. Star to a match and finally get revenge.
Ryan would then decide that he wouldn't challenge St. Star and wanted to push his career further in the TNB. This would lead to Ryan being involved with the All-Stars round robin tournament. He would win this tournament and be pushed into the Undisputed title contention. He had a couple shots at the title but couldn't capture it at first during multi-man matches. His one on one shot would eventually come against Joker. Ryan would go on and win the match and his first career title. It was crazy that his first title would be the Undisputed championship, the most prestigious title in the business. This would show that hard work and determination prospers.
His first title defense would come against Brent Starr. Ryan would win the match and successfully defend his title for the first time. After the match Shawn and Jason Youngblood would attack Ryan. This would spark a feud between Shawn and Ryan during the coming weeks. This feud would go with Brent Starr and Jason Youngblood joining in. The feud would continue to Rise to Stardom 3 where the main event would be a fatal four way match between Ryan, Shawn, Jason, and Brent with the Undisputed title on the line.
Ryan would be able to successfully defend his title again after pinning Shawn Youngblood. After the match a brawl between Ryan and Shawn occurred forcing referee's and security to run down to the ring and pull the two apart. Ryan would then challenge Shawn to a match during the very first show of the 2012 season with the Undisputed title on the line. Shawn would accept and that's how Rise to Stardom 3 would end.
