As of 4:30 pm this afternoon. Brandon 'Genesis' Payne has turned in his letter of resignation as co-owner of TNB Wrestling. Siting 'personal reasons' as being the main cause for his leaving. Gen. released an official statement earlier stating the following:
"Hey everyone out their in TNB land. As you all now are fully aware. I have officially chosen to step down from TNB Wrestling as its shareholder and part owner. Since coming back, I've felt that TNB hasn't really changed all that much since before. I had hopes that everything would turn around. But it doesn't seem to be that way.
Part of the agreement of me coming back to the company was to stay on the same page as everyone else. Fact is, that hasn't seem to be the case. Things started out good, but slowly began to go back to the way they was before. With people popping out left and right saying they "run the place" (Kim Hunter-Sylas) and having my authority under minded. Such as one match already being changed on the card. The originally booked "Tag Table Elimination" between Chris Lionheart & a partner of his choosing going against Ryan Blaze and a partner of his choosing is now apparently a handicap match. I'm sorry, but when a match has already been made and booked. There's no reason to change it. I'm not mad about that particular situation. But that is a prime example of my authority being a joke around here. I don't like it, and to be honest. I'm feel very disrespect about that. Since coming back here. I've never once stepped on anyone else's shoes or got in anyone's way. When I try to do some good for the place. The good ol boy network kicks in and several people choose to do whatever the hell they want without any regard to authority. To those people, feel proud that you have the other boss in your back pocket. Because when TNB goes down the drain. You will be the ones held responsible for its destruction. And I, speaking as a PROUD member of the original TNB organization. I will not play a hand in its downfall, or be a part of it.
In closing, I'd like to say that my intentions were good and while I'm leaving feeling a bit betrayed to an extent. I feel that there are way too many chiefs and not enough Indians running the place here, as that old saying goes. So I feel that whats best for me and more or less for whats left of TNB. Its time for me to officially close the door on my career here at TNB Wrestling. I think my brother Chris Lionheart did the best he could do to try and recreate the magic the old place once had. But ultimately, what happened in 2005 through 2007 could never be recreated in 2010. I felt that the bulk of what made TNB special in those days is now gone. From the original members, staff, etc. Not to put down or stomp on the contributions made by the "New Blood" here at TNB(2). But I felt that alot of what made the old place special couldn't be recaptured again.
So another door closes, and another one opens. I'm already involved in several other locations. Working for another major organization and several indy promotions on the side. I'm looking forward to doing more things for those area's. As I leave TNB for what will be for good. I leave here a bit heartbroken. But at the same time, I feel good about the old times that were created here in those early days. Some may or may not agree with me on alot of things I've said. But that's okay. Its to be expected".
