Let me address a problem that keeps coming up, and it seems to be coming up more and more lately.
Yes, TNB came to be from originally being a World Championship Wrestling efed, which mixed real-life wrestlers with our original creations. However the only real wrestling references should be about WCW (until 2001), or WCW:TNB/TNB history (2005-Present).
Case-in-point that there is no 'WWE' in TNB's reality, it died during the summer of 2006 when 'WWF', along with RCW and XWWS invaded WCW:TNB. ECW is also buried and absorbed into WCW:TNB history. That was a major milestone in evolving this efed from just WCW and original characters, to any real wrestler and original characters, to finally only original characters. So none of our characters could have seen CM Punk's shoot on WWE RAW, for example. TNA and ROH, nor any other real wrestling company have ever gotten so much as a token mention. To TNB, they do not exist.
Furthermore, it looks completely out-of-place to see mentions of The Avenger looking like Sting or even Steve Borden (a mocking comparison to The Crow would be more fitting), or that someone is wearing 'HBK tights'. By now we should be pretty much fully-focused on our original characters.
