*Nikki approached the street, recently arriving in Japan, green eyes scanned the people around her. A sigh escaped her lips, she just wanted to get to a hotel and get things started. She cast a long gaze up at the cloud covered sky. Rainy season, of all the times to be here. Some of her luggage had been lost in the flight, how they lose luggage over the ocean was beyond her. Dark black hair danced across her shoulders as she looked for an open taxi.
[glow=red,2,300]"Why couldn't it have been Miami?"[/glow]
The words uttered out in a mumble. Nikki finally discovered a taxi on the far end of the pick up lane. Flipping her carry on bag over her shoulder and pulling the one piece of luggage that wasn't lost behind her, she made her way towards the taxi. As she approached the taxi a man a few inches shorter than her stepped out and quickly greeted her in some of the most broken English she had ever heard.
"Harro harro! wercome Japan!"
His excitement was almost enough to make her puke.Dropping her bags at his feet she gave him a cold stare that removed his excitement. The taxi driver stared at her in fright for a moment before quickly gathering up her bags.
"Ah yesh I get yo bags"
Nikki waited for the man to load her bags into the taxi. Once he was finished he slowly moved towards his driver side door.
[glow=red,2,300]"ahem"[/glow]
Clearing her through loud enough for the man to hear,she raised her eyebrows at him. She glanced at her closed door then back at him. A glare once again directed itself at the man, the glare of a serpent about to strike. This man obviously was of special needs, he had no manners at all.
"Ah sorry sorry."
The words quickly shot from his mouth as he began to mumble something in Japanese under his breath. Nikki ignored it for now. He was just a minor inconvenience on her trip, one of soon to be many she was sure. The man scurried over to her and opened her door for her, presenting the seat like she had just won a prize on a game show. An angelic smile crossed her face and she nodded to the man, and gently caressed his arm with her hand.
[glow=red,2,300]"Thank you, that will be all."[/glow]
The taxi smiled for a moment but quickly dropped the smile from his face. He scurried away from her, back to the driver side, muttering under his breath. Nikki held onto the door as she looked back over the airport and all the people standing waiting for shuttles or open taxi's.
[glow=red,2,300]"Welcome to Japan indeed..."[/glow]

A beer in one hand and his cell phone in the other, Cruise punches the speed dial button for his favorite local pizzeria. He didn't have any cash though, so he hoped they would allow him to put it on Cameron's tab as usual. Hearing the person on the other end of the phone answer, Cruise begins to speak before they can even say hello.
"Hey Tony! Its your best buddy Cruise! I'm like dying for an extra cheese extra pepperoni pizza, but I don't have any cash. Is it cool if we just put it on Cam's tab and not tell him about it? I promise this is the last time and you know he's good for it."
Cruise hears a sigh on the other end of the phone. A sigh that he instantly knew did not come from big Tony. He pulls the phone back from his ear, looks at the screen and realizes his mistake. Instead of hitting button four for the pizzeria's speed dial, he hit number seven and dialed his former trainee, Nikki Kaldivo.
"Oh, hey...Sorry kid. Hit the wrong number. But hey, I'm glad I got ahold of you actually. A few rumors have been flying around that you may have signed a contract with TNB. Just want to say congrats. With my training, you should thrive there. Word of advice though, if theres still a fella around there that goes by the name Lionheart...And if his face looks a little beat up still, then you probably shouldn't mention my name in his presence. Other than that though....Hows the business treating you so far?"
It had been awhile since Cruise had last spoke to Nikki. She had hired him quite some time ago to train her and prepare her to be a professional wrestler. Luckily, she didn't know much of his back-story or she probably would have found someone else.

Nikki let another sigh escape her lips and placed a hand on her forehead. This was an unexpected call, and hardly welcomed. With his training? That was a joke.
[glow=red,2,300]"Jacob, what a surprise." [/glow] Her voice was as sarcastic as humanly possible. Lowering herself into the taxi she paused for a moment, debating if she should make the taxi driver get out and shut her door or not. A smile crossed her face.
[glow=red,2,300]"ahem"[/glow]
The taxi driver turned towards her and just stared in a confused state. Nikki glanced to her ajar door and then back at him. The taxi driver began to protest but a quick glare cut off anything he was about to say. With a groan the taxi driver complied and got out to shut her door. Returning her attention to the phone call she spoke.
[glow=red,2,300]"As I recall, I spent more time pulling you out of bars than actually getting trained."[/glow]

'Well.....um....*cough* yeah....about that..."
Though that may of possibly been true, he would never admit it. Even to himself. Besides, she should have known better than to pay him in advance. What else was there to spend money on other than cheap whiskey and even cheaper women.
"You know, that was all part of your training. Yeah, that's it. Dexterity training and shit like that."
Cruise had no idea what the word dexterity even meant, but it sure sounded good in that sentence.
"I mean...Wrestling is half physical, half mental and half emotional..."
After saying that, he was sure she would point out that three halves don't make a whole. She always nitpicked at stuff like that.
"So see, you got physical out of carrying me out of the bar because I was to drunk to walk. You got mental from learning how to get out of my tab without paying it...I still don't know how you always did that...Guess I taught you a little to well...And emotional....Well, I'm sorry I get a little emotional when I drink cheap whiskey. Anyways...."
Cruise hopes she will change the subject so he don't have to bullshit himself out of any more claims of being a bad trainer.

Nikki shook her head and smiled, Cruise had a knack for bullshit. Some people step in it on accident, Jacob spewed it every chance he got.
[glow=red,2,300]"Still mooching off Cam?"[/glow]
She had no clue why he put up with Jacob, she had never met the man but he obviously had patience that far outlasted her own.The taxi had yet to move, and the driver was standing outside talking to someone.Nikki pressed her tongue against the inside of her upper lip. She was not amused. If the taxi wasn't moving within the minute she would have to show him exactly what she had learned from Jacob.

"Its not really mooching per-say. I mean, we split costs on some stuff. For example, he lets me stay in his guest house rent free every now and then....Or, for most of the year. He pays the bills. Oh, and he also buys the food. While I on the other hand....Buy...the beer. Plus, Cam and his wife love my company."
In the background you can hear a female voice, presumably Mimi, Cam's wife, shouting "No we don't!" followed by "And get your feet off my damn coffee table!"
"But back to you Miss Nikki. Tell me, how did you land a gig with TNB? I watch it on TV every week....which reminds me Cam needs to pay the cable bill. So, if I'm not mistaken you all are over in Japan now huh? Damn, place never traveled when I worked there. Then again, thats probably a good thing. Don't know if I could stay sober long enough for the flight. Wait....do they serve alcohol on planes?"
Cruise's voice trails away from the phone for a moment as he shouts over his shoulder towards another room.
"Cam! Hey Cam! Cam! I got a question! Cam! Hey!"
He pauses for a moment, apparently getting a reply from Cam.
"Hey! Do they serve...ah, nevermind I'll ask you later.....Sorry about that Nikki....Anyways, tell me how the rise to fame has been going. Have you had a match yet? I bet after your first match you'll be like a goddess to those slant eyes. They worship wrestling. Wrestling to them is like football to us. Minus the lockouts and contract bullshit I guess.."
Cruise pauses for a moment to chug down a bit of his beer, finally giving Nikki a chance to actually get a word in.

The taxi driver finally returned to his drivers seat. Nikki released a small sigh as she half listened to what Jacob had to say. A slender hand reached into the pocket of her coat and pulled out a card. The card contained her hotel information, leaning forward Nikki tapped the driver on the shoulder with the card. An angelic smile appeared on her face as she spoke to him.
[glow=red,2,300]"Would you please take me to that address."[/glow]
The driver only nodded and took the card from her, letting out a sigh of his own the vehicle began to move. Nikki returned her attention to Jacob.
" probably shouldn't mention my name in his presence. Other than that though....Hows the business treating you so far?"
[glow=red,2,300]"I've just arrived in Japan Jacob, but I'm sure I'll make a lasting impression that won't soon be forgotten."[/glow]
A devious smile crossed her face as thoughts began to formulate themselves in her mind, it was only a matter of time before everyone in TNB knew who she was.

'Dammnit Cam I know you pay the cellphone bill....I know...I...I know I've even used up all your roll over minutes. Phone sex charges? That shit wasn't me. Psht, you best be looking at your wife dude. The charges were associated with my phone number? Really? Nah. Well hell, Mimi could have taken my phone in he middle of the night....Ok...Ok...I'll get off here...but you better start keeping a close eye on your woman..."
Directing his attention back to Nikki on the phone...
"Well, I gotta go kid. Just remember what I taught ya'...Duck and dodge duck and dodge. That shit probably works better for boxing, but whatever. Oh, and don't ever tap out. If word gets around that the Gaaaawd of submission trained some loser that taps out all the time...My perfect image would be ruined. But anyways, call me if ya ever need any advice. Make it after nine or on the weekends though so I don't waste any of Cam's precious minutes. Anyways, holla atch'a later. Peace."
*Click* With that, Cruise ends the call.
"That was a bitch move Cam. A real bitch move. Not while I'm on the phone dude..."
