Ken Styles music hits to open the PPV, as he begins to saunter out to the ring to a chorus of boos. He's not dressed in his wrestling gear, but rather a snakeskin suit. It looks as if Ken is back in his trendy threads., but there's a look of sadness, and perhaps regret
He enters the ring, with a frown upon his face, and grabs a microphone. The boos are becoming louder and louder.
"Yeah, I know, boo me. Please, boo me. But let me at least explain something before you rip my head off. When I came back from TNB, it was with one thing in mind. It was to win the TNB World Heavyweight Championship, so that I could get the medical benefits I need to pay for all of the surgeries that I had undergone, and continue to undergo after what I went through last year. It was so that I could continue to feed my family, and make a living doing what I love, for you people. (Boos) Then, I won a shot at the World Title. It looked like it was all going to happen, and everything would be just fine. Then, something happened. It was all taken away again. My shot at the championship, my financial security, all of it was gone, because I gambled my shot. I gambled in on a whim against Ryan Blaze, and now I'm paying for it.
After I lost my title shot, I was approached by Christian Moneymaker to join Moneymaker, Inc. (Boos) At first, those were my EXACT sentiments. Why would I want to join a group of people that wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire? Why would I become one of THEM? And then Christian told me something. He told me that because of his financial connections, he was able to GUARANTEE that all of my medical expenses, debts, EVERYTHING, would be covered and taken care of. All I had to do was sign the dotted line...which leads me to Brash. What I did this past week on Brash to Brendan Maslow was nothing short of despicable. In fact, up until last week, it was something that I would have despised even THINKING about. And maybe I still do despise it. But, and I know this phrase is passed around like weed at a beach party, but Brendan, it REALLY wasn't anything personal. It was just business. I gotta pay to get paid, you know?
Ken throws the mic down, apparently disgusted with himself, and walks out of the ring, and back up the ramp.
