Ryan had found a camera man backstage, and got him ready. He was prepared to address something...
Earlier tonight, The Avenger said something that caught my ear. He said two things, actually. He said "The Avenger wants someone who believes they deserve a shot" and "If you want it then you have to go through the Avenger to get it".
Starting with the first quote, I'd like to point out something that seems to go by everyones eyes... I am TNB. Ryan Blaze is The New Blood Wrestling. I am the top gun, the biggest name, and the most reliable guy. If something needs to be done, I'm the one that is asked to do it. If a division needs someone to lead it to the promised land, then I'm the one that is asked to take the lead. There's no denying it, either. Guess who carried TNB on his back single handedly when it was going through it's rough patches? Was it The Avenger? No, it wasn't. Chris Lionheart? Nope, no where near it. Shia Storm? Yeah, he wishes. It was all me. I carried this fucking company back to where it should be, and I want to be paid for my efforts.
Last year? Last year I proved that I'm the number one guy in the business. Reporters called my performance outstanding, and even went so far to call it "The year of Blaze". Last year, to end the season, I won the World title off of Chris Lionheart, and retired him in the same match. I showed the world that I'm here to stay, and that I mean business.
Flash forward to the beginning of this year. I lose the title in a four way match and I'm never given the opportunity to use my rematch clause. I'm booked in the damn tag team tournaments that I never even fucking wanted to be in in the first place. Worst off, is I'm booked with a man that seems to think he's got it good with his "Fallout" match win, and his promised World Title shot. The same man that I wanted to punch in the face 30 minutes before the event.
I didn't need to participate. I didn't want to play some silly little game. I showed the world that Ryan Blaze is a singles competitor, and the best one at that. I don't have time to drag some jerk off along for the ride. Tonight, I'm set to face Ken Styles for his "redemption". He's not going to do shit all, let's be honest.
The point of this all? The Avenger isn't the only one participating in multiple matches. No, because now I'm booked to be in another match. I'm booked to face you, Avenger. I'm using my rematch clause and getting a match that I was screwed out of in the first place. I'm getting the match that everyone else took when I was the one that deserved it. No more grubby little fingers grasping at my opportunity.
You say that if I want the title, then I got to get through you? Gladly. I would gladly drag your ass from post to post to regain the World Title belt. I'll do anything it takes to get back the title. It belongs around my waist for actually doing something while the Avenger twiddled his thumbs and tried his hardest to make himself seem relevant.
The belt is coming home.
Cut it.
The camera feed dies, and leaves the arena in silence.
