Keith Williams strides to the ring to start TNB Brash, with a large shit-eating grin on his face. He quickly climbs into the ring and collects a microphone from a stagehand.
You know... my son was right, last night. He and I had a private conversation at Reincarnation and he expressed great concern. He expressed great concern over this whole TNB vs MoneyMaker Inc feud we have going on right now. But more importantly he expressed concern about my giving a small measure of actual power to the likes of David Cornell and Christian MoneyMaker. I said to my dear boy, that the past may have treated these two men poorly, they certainly seemed to think so. But now was their time to step up and prove to all their doubters what they could truly do - or not do - when they were given the proverbial ball and trusted to run with it. And that is exactly what happened. David Cornell essentially 'divided' the locker room back there. He let his personal war with Christian MoneyMaker get in the way of making good business decisions and doing the right thing for TNB. And that is why we saw the TNB side ride into war without a proper game-plan or warriors to fight for the cause. Scott Manor turned him down. Sentoryu turned a blind eye to MoneyMaker Inc. We had more fight against MoneyMaker Inc from one of their own, MIRK, than we did from any Cornell-championed-warrior. The ultimate code of the TNB Championship Committee is money, and more ratings. You see, I didn't burn a bridge with Christian MoneyMaker. He and I could go back there right now and have a big laugh about this whole 'war' coming apart at the seams. Just as we said from the beginning, it was business. Cornell was the one who turned it personal between MoneyMaker and himself. And when he put himself in front of the business, this is what led to his termination. I couldn't afford to take the risk. And how appropriate it is that an event called 'Reincarnation' saw the removal of 2009's General Manager, and allowed more focus to fall onto 2007's General Manager. But David Cornell isn't the only casualty to come out of Reincarnation.... oh no!
The fans cheer, as Keith grins into the camera once again.
I got an envelope left on my desk at noon today. It was a financial invoice. For a brand new title belt. A title belt encrusted with so many jewels... well lets just say that it was a Million Dollor Belt. Literally, those jewels were in the same of a big old '$' sign. I know because it came with a photograph of a prototype belt. What this belt was for, or rather who it was for, was a man by the name of Genesis. He was 'so outraged' by what happened with the TNB Undisputed Title last night at the Pay Per View, that he went ahead and started making plans to have his own version of the World Title just for him to hold. This is from the guy who claimed he didn't work for TNB, but only for MoneyMaker Inc, if you recall. So why then would he be charging this company so much money for a prop belt to sooth his ego? I asked myself that question all afternoon until Genesis arrived earlier, mid-afternoon ready for tonight's show, before he was then escorted off the premises as a regular civilian with no access privileges. Much like Mr. Cornell I decided that Mr. Genesis was too much of a risk to this company with his crazy antics. Don't take it personal, Brandon Payne, as you have told TNB management over the years - it's not personal, just business.
The two of you... ARE FIRED! And I'll be the one picking up the mess you both left, when I talk to MoneyMaker and the roster in general, personally!
