I think the post we had from Shayne was amazing. The turn out was fantastic. And all the woman who we normally don't hear much from really shined. But I was hoping we could give the girls a more important storyline. I think I realized today that our division ranges no further than a bunch of catty bitches. While I love a good shit slinging contest it's getting pretty old fast... That and I'm running out of insults.
I've been trying to challenge the actual wrestlers with the threat of turning womens wrestling into a tits and ass show like it is in reality, but that hasn't really been working.
Maybe some storylines that put the division in real 'jeopardy' like say rumors of deactivating the woman's belt. Putting the men against the women so that the girls can show their sport is just as important.
While you might be thinking, I'll set it straight now that I'm fully aware men can't fight women in singles, thats not what I am getting at. I think the RPing is much more powerful when genders collide. Especially when we have a lot of jocular male characters who probably would be for the cutting of the women's division, for maybe a bigger paycheck, or just plain don't like women's wrestling. It's a good chance to form temporary unity amongst the women's division. Forcing some women to work together who normally wouldn't.
Maybe have a battle of the sexes PPV where for example people vote on whos match was better. mens ladder vs womans ladder etc..
Or try and encourage the men to work with the women more, intergender tags or use them as a way of spicing up a what is usually a strictly mans single match for number one contendership for a major men's belt.. Say the beef is so bad a staff member uses the women as a sort of gamble on the man''s part. He has to choose a woman to represent him. Which could also lead back to giving the bombshells more resentment for the way they are used by the company. putting that bitchiness to good use.
Just some ideas I had, thank you for listening.
Off Topic: To Sylas when you do find time to RP again. I have a good storyline idea involving him, Misty, and Kim to toss your way. It would help give Kim a good face push. I've been trying to get your attention about it after Misty beat her at Abomination.

I believe Styles is still in the throws of moving.
TNB Staff tried something like that in 2009, but the members seemed to be vehemetly against integender matches. We're not exactly sure why, but we put it down to some handlers not feeling comfortable with their males losing to kick-ass women. Then of course this year's 2010 game came and made that feeling a finality.
However, once everyone is active again there should be plenty of men/women combinations to make such an idea work - but unfortunatly that would depend on member's activeness and willingness to do so:
jsj/alex shoque brent starr/ashely sixx jason/lucy yb shayne/shawn yb misty/dupree sentoryu/kaminari alexander haste/natasha storm
The idea of the women coming under threat and having to prove their worth... or at least prove that they can get ratings sounds like a good way to give some women characters a kick up the butt. I do like that idea.

Drag queen joke noted and ignored, because I''m such a nice person.... lol jk I think it would really work. Plus it would give tougher women like Kami and Kim a chance to take up for their division. I think it would make great RPs from all our different blend of women. I imagine they would have a warped form of unity with eachother... Until the belt was reinstated and they all go back to being catty bitches.

drag queen she would be hahha if she wasnt the nicest looking asian caw i have ever made ahhahha J/K. plus she really has a very close move set to Sentoryu since both were trained by the same Japanese warrior for their background. Fuyuki is the trainer storywise of all my caws. I think that If Kim's handler wasnt so hung up on his high horse Kami and Kim could have tore down the house in a hell of a feud. But that is my opinion which to some of the older Fedders(which is wierd as most were in diapers when i started this in 89)doesnt mean shit.

How delightfully kinky of them! lol jk I don't have any horror stories about her, but I still do have a great ' Misty' storyline to do with her and Sylas or any power couple willing to participate. I'm getting mighty bored with the lead females way of "cut throat" rping with little or absolutely no storyline.... I miss Megan Van Horne. She was so good with rolling with the punches.

no cutthroat style for me hahahaha i just try to flow in character the way the other RP'er seems to be going. If they give me a way to make something interesting then il take it if they just want to sit and call me a rook or a one hit wonder and pick on the fact that the AI uses the flying manoraya over and over ill just move on to the exit plan lol.
because it seems all the RP's here are trying to be SCSA or the rock be it male and female. Insults and downgrading the opposing RP, fun for the insulter hahaha but very tiring for the readers.

haha I'm tired of doing it. I feel like if I traded insults with two girls here I traded them with them all. I meant no 'DR' toward Kami... Okay I kinda did, but I was on the rag so forgive me. I like Kaminari, I even like Kim Hunter. I lost character with Misty quite a few times in my last RP, but I picked up her character near the end though. Which is forgivable being kinda the only 'true' heel female around here. I don't mean to seem like I'm infallible or the reigning bitch goddess lol. What I was doing was what I always do which is dangle bait for newcomers to snap at, get them RPing. The Blondetourage is so unlikeable in what they stand for that any 'face' should want to take them out. I figured Kami and Kim would be above that since everyone knows they still are the great wrestlers here. I don't give a shit about being top of the top for females here. I say "I am" so that the newer people get their first enemy. Put a fire under their asses as I always say. Get them RPing so they don't have to have embarrassing first RPs where nobody responds. But I'm never doing that again... Boy did that backfire! lol I'm sticking to the boys from now on. lol Trying to give females an enemy has left me without allies and is kinda getting repetitive. I mean when it gets to the point where you can read my disdain for the womens division, its time to stop working with them. At the end of the day I wanna say that was fun and not, ugh what a f&%$ing drag!... No pun intended Sen

well i enjoyed the short time Kami had to deal with misty and Tiff hahaha i know how you were working it. I was a bit pissed over the Kim hunter ignoring my challenge. since i have had Kaminari/Samira in alot of international feds before along with Sentoryu/Kenshin. Mostly I have a problem with PPL that since they havent seen this caw/character in a fed othey were in or had read on a board somewhere it is a noobie. I have been in feds that i was the only english speaker. Which I have enjoyed much more then some of the ones like TNB where everyone is english or what not. Both characters have been around for many yrs even before there were games that you could actually make them in hahaha. plus Dice,Kenshin and Kami to an extent are an extention of me. just different aspects of my RL split personalities ahhaha.

LOL, I tried to get rid of some of that 'putting down' RP trend, Sen, with Lionheart's good-guy quest against the Revolution, but that completely went out the window with different members dropping out for personal reasons or inactivity. Hopefully next year we can do something IC, or make an OOC rule regarding RPing, that will make RPs more... positive, is the word I think I'm looking for . I know it's probably not much of a help for you, Misty, seeing as I tend to have a good RPing day about once every 2 weeks it seems and then everyone's waiting for the next time I come on and RP. But I am trying to work something with each female Youngblood as a manager for each wrestler to get Terra and Kim more active. The title belt stuff with the weird match stipulations I did to try to give you some breathing room and a break from the title to make things fresher for you. I was also hoping that someone would get in Shayne's face about not earning the belt but that doesn't seem to have happened unless I've overlooked someone's RP. All I can say is that barring any complications I'll be getting a phoneline in my flat on the 23rd August and the internet shortly after that. Once I have the net I plan to be RPing a fair few more characters to basically run around and add more activity into all areas. I'm thinking of bringing Kristi back too. I wish Scorpion could RP, Sapphire and Emerald acting as hit-girls for Diamond sounds like a 'jewel' of a storyline. That being said, I know my RPs as women are very... steriotypical. No... perhaps that's not the right word, they're just bare-bones. I see women characters being RPed with an extra level of detail added in, like Misty's drink and pills, Kaminari's training, or even MVH's cold last year and I think 'wow, I would never even think of adding something like that into my girl characters'. I'm hoping I can raise the two Youngblood women, or Kristi, Emerald or Yasha Omnihime up in the coming months.

Obviously there are those characters in the women's division who are doing probably more than their fair share to keep activity up and the division running smoothly, so I don't want to discredit their work with my next question - but is there anything that we as staff can think of to really put things over the top and have our bombshells excelling, or is this a case of members needing to simply put the effort in themselves but perhaps on a higher level instead?
Does anyone have a problem if I move this topic to the Storyline Central board to get more member input on it?

One thing I have noticed with my short time back is a few things to be honest. The first one is that I think most feel that the bombshells are no more than eye candy and at times are not taken seriously. I know it is the rp'ers responsibility to make things interesting and to go over the top when it comes to making them better or bigger or at least as good as the male rp'ers. It may mean the bombshells title may not be regarded to be taken serious as well. So I can see that point of it.
The second point is that it seems when rps are done only a few take it go with it. Maybe a lack of cooperation at times. So it tends where only a few are really running the division because they are the ones doing most of the work. I find that I may even start rp'ing with some of the gals who may not be doing their part to maybe get more cooperation. I thought of doing something along that lines. Really I feel the bombshells can really produce if we all get our heads in action ya know.
I am open to do storylines with anyone. I came back to TNB because I love the atmosphere and really this is where I want to be anyway. Just a few nuggets as I am working on so hopefully things can really flow with the punches. [/b]
